Honouring Community History, One Bus Tour at a Time
Understanding the Need
A local consultant and community organizer was preparing to lead a heritage bus tour exploring the people, places and stories that have shaped Mill Woods. From early South Asian pioneers to Indigenous place-making, the tour invited participants into a deeper understanding of Edmonton’s cultural and political history.
To bring this event to life, she needed support with visuals, promotion and managing the logistics behind the scenes.
The Heart of the Work
This was more than a tour, it was a storytelling experience grounded in community. Honouring the contributions of racialized communities requires care, attention to detail and a deep respect for place and history. The goal was to create a space for learning, connection and reflection.
Our Approach
Quip Creative supported the event by taking care of the details. We designed graphics that reflected the spirit of the tour, created social media content to drive interest and built the Eventbrite page to manage signups.
We also handled attendee communication and registration tracking so the organizer could focus on what mattered most: delivering a meaningful experience for everyone on board.
